Year 2
Year 2 are taught by Miss Harbury. Teaching assistants Mrs Read, Mrs Calder, Mrs George, Miss Cooke, Miss Harris and Miss Coombes work alongside the class. Mrs Read teaches the class one afternoon a week.
Homework in Year 2
Homework is always sent home on a Friday and should be completed by Thursday of the following week. For ease, all homework is recorded in the school planner.
Each week, children in Year 2 are expected to read their school reading book a minimum of three times. This reading should be recorded in the school planner.
In addition to reading, Year 2 children also have some maths challenges stuck into their planners – these are questions base don themes that the children have already seen and studied earlier in the week.
Children in Year 2 also have spellings – there are spaces in the planner to practise the spellings and write some of the spellings in sentences.
